Originally written in 1994, this essay tries to identify the elements that lead to Hindu success. One missing ingredient then: leadership in India. One great fear: AIDS.
The growth of India that is Bharat cannot be stopped. We may use the word ethic, loyalty from a prism of how the western world looks at us but the most important manifestation of our diving books and the Ithihasas is the concept of Karma Yoga. Whilst various yoga manifestations have been dealt by different vedantic schools of thought that also include Jnana and Bhakthi yoga, the Karma Yoga is the one that has been driven passionately and vehemently woven within every fabric of the society. Our ancestors following Karma Yoga (or the Dharmic work ethic if you could call) is what ensured we were the top and the best for most of the time that mankind has survived on this planet. It is neither tricky nor difficult to follow this but the benefits are recognized exponentially as the circle of influence increases i.e. yourself, family, community, society, state, nation and the world. Threats and distractions are always existing and following Dharma is the only known way to counter this.
Nice piece. AIDS seems to have found its way here. Maybe the world is learning that ' Hindu work-ethic ' is not bad as thought out to be. Hope the West does not try to stop Hindus from marching
forward in all spheres. The world outside is treacherous.
thanks. in 1994, there was big panic orchestrated by eg the gates foundation about AIDS devastating india, which, thankfully did not happen. i'm hoping the covid panic will also not result in lasting damage to india. so now they're shifting the propaganda to caste.

Precisely. They are hypocrites. They practise racism, casteism in a different way by adopting various sub-sects and they call us intolerant. Thugs.
