Was the coronavirus engineered with AIDS DNA?

When you see a crime, ask who had the motive and the means

Way back in January, IIT Delhi researchers wrote, without mincing any words, that the Wuhan Coronavirus looked like it had HIV DNA (or spike proteins) introduced into it, and they didn’t think it was natural evolution.

There was an immediate online lynch mob attack (surely there were a bunch of Chinese sock-puppets in the fray along with the usual sanctimonious ‘science experts’), and they forced the withdrawal of the paper. Fortunately I had saved a copy, and here’s a screenshot of the first page.

I don’t understand this biology stuff, but what I got from reading the arguments flying back and forth on the net was that some ‘experts’ didn’t think the genetic changes were engineered. They didn’t think it was artificial. Did they prove that it was natural evolution in action? No. They just thought it was.

Well, they can’t actually prove that it was or wasn’t, so it’s a theological argument similar to the one about — I kid you not, this used to lead to furious debate among the padres some years ago — how many angels could dance on a pinhead. It’s just somebody’s opinion. Evidence? Bah! Just trust us!

So, I guess we country bumpkins should just take it as the truth because ‘experts’ said so.

Ok, you can say it is a conspiracy theory, but can you PROVE it was a natural change to the genome of the virus? Of course you can’t. I rest my case.

So who could have had the motive, and the means? I leave that as an exercise to the reader.

What is the end result? Well, it looks likely that Trump will lose the election. Is that motive enough for certain people?

There has to be a reckoning, and reparations, for what the entire world has been and continues to endure, including lost lives and incomes. China, we’re coming for you.
