Podcast on environment, the poor pregnant elephant, and the ethics of living with other species
Guest: Dr K V Bapa Rao, Los Angeles
Decided to try a home-made podcast on the topic of world enviroment day, with the poor pregnant elephant who was killed as a backdrop (and I specifically say ‘who’ because she was a sentient being deserving sympathy and consideration).
My guest is my old friend Dr Bapa Rao of LA. We were classmates at IIT Madras, and he’s a keen India-watcher. When I lived in the Bay Area, we had for a while a regular broadcast show on KPFA, the local public radio channel, on matters related to India. So we’re not total broadcast newbies, but certainly not experienced in the new world of podcasting. Please tolerate but note any deficiencies!
This is my first shot at a podcast, and your comments would be very welcome so I can improve going forward. Click here to listen: podcast 001 env elephant
Is this a good idea at all? Or is the written stuff better?
Would you prefer a video?
Is it too long/short at 29 min?
